read zijia's blog and realised she's been wishing of ? for 7 years already.. ? may be death or a happy family.. Well i guess death isn't foremost in her mind.. must be the thought of having a happy family then! its unfortunate that things go this way.. and just wished those parents reading this out there (or parents reading her blog) will be more responsible in their families!!
those would-be parents out there.. also be responsible towards your would-be spouses and not let them down! else children really suffer..
oh well.. hope zijia dun mind me referencing to her post.. tell me if u do k? i'll take ur name away..

sian
im either tired or bored.. i really need sth fun in my life!
but no energy to do the fun thing too..
actually sth fun happened yesterday..
I joined this conversation buddies thingy.. which is an event for foreign exchange students to learn English.. I joined with Christina and we had our first session this wednesday..
Anws.. we played a game Christina came up with.. based on the color of the mnms you picked out of the packet, you get to either answer a question/sing/truth or dare/embarasing situation/etc.. WE had loads and loads of fun playing.. and it was filled with laughter..
Also learnt stuffs about Korean and Japanese culture..
1 korean song and 1 Japanese song that's popular children's songs were sung..
we acted out some scenes from japanese drama..
and we shared things about spore.. and Tetsuya (our japanese buddy) recommended Tokyo as the best place in Japan for sightseeing and Tokyo disneyland for good fun! its only S$50 to enter Disneyland there! =D
the funny thing was that Tetsuya mentioned that Spore gals have better figure than Japanese girls.. quite surprising, as both Christina and I thought otherwise..
lols
so the session ended and i am SO looking forward to next week's ! hehe

Angel at my table (1990)
this movie was shown to us during advanced abnormal class last friday.. I couldn't stop thinking abt it since then, cos the main character kept going thru a lot of traumatic experiences and she wasn't at all schizophrenic, which she was accused of.
Anw, time for spoilers! i couldn't stand it anymore and went to search for the synopsis..
she was misdiagnosed (obviously!) and she's just probably socially awkward and slightly depressed..
Angel at my table is based on a true story of NZ's most celebrated poets/writers - Janet Frame.
this links to her works.
yeps so anws i'm so glad i know it .. now i can stop thinking of the ending and such..
interested about Janet Frame? read here..

decorated 151 bus
Today i boarded a 151 on the way to school.. it was decorated with red velvety seats.. and the cushions were white and looked very comfy! Its a bar concept, and there was loud rock music blaring on the speaker that was right above my head. There were round seats at the back of the bus too, which looked like armchairs. How i wished i could have sat on one of those! It was super crowded and i dint even had space to admire the refreshing decor. Well, hope i board it again!

Happiness is ..
Researchers have found some underlying factors for happiness..
Married people are more content than singles, but having children does not raise happiness level.
Education and IQ seem to have little impact on happiness.
Attractive people are only slightly happier than the unattractive.
The elderly (over 65) are more satisfied with their lives than the young.
Friendships are crucial if you want to be happy.
As much as 50% of the happiness factor is genetic. Educators say people can be taught the habits of optimism and how to handle negative thoughts.

my skype contact
recently i've been using skype ever since i worked at Breadtalk. There's this interesting contact who has been encouraging me about stress management!I find it both interesting and surprising that as an online stranger, he appears to be very sincere and helpful towards me.. I've been complaining to him things like 'sch is so boring and stressful' 'i hate my readings'. And his response is always encouraging and positive like 'this is your final year, just do well and you'll haf a gd future' or 'learn to cope with things one at a time, then you wont be stressed' or 'i'll chat with you, hopefully you wont be so stressed and unhappy and you'll go study later'. He just seems quite 'nice' and not so complicated as those online ple i've seen recently.. But due to my not-too-recent experience of jerk(s) online, i dun think i'll really believe in people online so easily.. thus he's still to be regarded with a mile-long rule!
I am so sick
I am so sick! sick sick sick
this weird tight pain in my lower abdomen that's been irritating me for 4 days counting.. Wonder when it'll get better.. been trying massage, eating less, drinking more water, exercising.. Nothing seems to work!! grr. super irritating!!
Life isn't looking wonderful too, since school already started and there's so much pressure to do well this semester! Haiz... Well anyways, i've been keeping myself busy with many activities.. One of which is this Conversation buddies program, and I made 4 new friends! They're from Japan, Korea and Vietnam. So cool! Our first session to converse is officially this coming Wed 11am!! haha. It's fun cos Christina joined with me (actually she asked me if i was interested to join, and i was, so i did!).. It's very interesting interacting with people from different nationalities and im so super excited to meet them this wednesday! hehe. Besides, I made a huge error on the first briefing by saying that I want to make more friends through the program (which the speaker said specifically that this shouldn't be our reason joining the program!!) LOLS. I missed almost the entire briefing! SO i wasn't informed. hahaha. it was quite a joke when i said it cos EVERYONE of them laughed and realised i shouldn't be saying that. lols.
Other activities include having my weekend busy with tuition and exercising early in the morning 6am (which kinda kills my sleeping pattern). My parents are recently super enthu about this Detox Exercise program, organised by Billy Wang. He heads the exercise at KK hospital everyday at 6am-7am.. And we have been, or rather, my parents have been diligently attending it every Saturday morning! While i've missed 2 sessions due to the late sleepless nights i spend either in front of my computer or having insomnia on my bed. Anws.. Waking up this early makes me sleepy around 9-10am of the same morning after the exercise! and I end up sleeping in the day more! Whether for good or for bad, it still kinda gets me stressed..
