Dinner @ Swensens

IT was a poorly made decision, and when we ate the food and paid up, we realised that we should have eaten somewhere else where the satisfaction was higher for both of us, but at that time, it didn't occur. Anws, shall not be back at Swensens again. haha Perhaps only eat it for the ice cream next time =)

Still, it was a good meet up before I go to Japan this sunday morning.
(disregarding e little tiff we had)

Dinnner @ Delifrance

Wow its been years since I stepped into Delifrance to eat something. Ever since working and quitting there after A levels, Delifrance is now totally changed and not the same as it was last time. It was also an interesting experience eating the sandwiches and soup (which still tastes the same). One other thing too - the staff are not really trained. haha

Vampire Knight

For the past 2 days, I've been really hooked on Vampire Knights. It's really cool and the story is just unfolding after 39 chapters. The characters are drawn so nicely (though I have to admit they look alike, just the color of their hair is different and their uniforms). I am so in love with the main character Kaname Kuran. HAHA

Here's the link for anyone interested -> Vampire Knight

Recent Updates

After the tiring planning for the Japan Trip for the whole of last week, which involved getting my visa and making trips to the Embassy 3 times and staring at the computer figuring out which places are near where and thus appropriate to be in the trip, I got so shagged over the weekend. Subsequently, on Monday and Tuesday still super tired and shagged, since I haven gotten any break after the exams ended. It has been hectic and tiring for me. These past 2 days finally could sit down properly and think of what I want in my life, and start sending out my resumes.

I have been very interested in getting into Recruit Express as a Recruitment Consultant. Yesterday I sent my resume to them hoping to get a reply soon. After that, I msn-ed my ex-classmate who's now an Insurance agent in Great Eastern and bought some travel insurance for the Japan trip. It was to my surprise and luck that his girlfriend works in Recruit Express, and she gave me a chance to go to an interview today.

I really hope to get the job and am super stressed that I didn't get through the Personality Quizzes properly. Previously i heard from another friend that this job has alot of prospects and it pays quite well. Also, since I'm passionate about working with people I think this job is suitable for me. Well, at the moment I'm praying for good news.

About my Japan trip, this is the tentative plan.

Day 1 -> Fly to Tokyo Narita Airport and stay over at Marroad Int.
Day 2 -> Take subway to Tokyo Station, book into Taito Ryokan
Buy Tokyo 4 day pass (or any relevant ones)
Explore Asakusa area, look at the 100yen shop nearby, and go to an onsen nearby.
Take bullet train from Tokyo Station to Hakone area 5th Station to look at Mt. Fuji
Relax by going to Rainbow Bridge and Shibuya (Photo taking)
Day 3 -> Chichibu Area or Ameyoko Street and Shinjuku Sightseeing (Photo taking)
Ninja Musuem in Tokyo
Visit a wooden blocks painting shop, make/paint a wooden doll
or DisneySea (whole day)
Take neoprints or wadever is fashionable there
Day 4 -> Check out Taito Ryokan and move to another one..
Meet with Tina and make a trip to Yebisu Beer Musuem
Rainbow Bridge if did not visit 1st day.
Hakone to look at Mt Fuji if did not visit 1st day.
Day 5 -> Take morning 9am Shinkansen Hiraku to Kyoto
Sightseeing around Kyoto (photo taking)
Lunch at Kyoto or at Nara Deer Park
Take shinkansen to shin-osaka and meet Dad
Stay over near Osaka Airport
Day 6 -> Osaka unleashed! Buy Osaka 2 Day pass
Day 7 -> Play all places for free and take subways free
Day 8 -> Buy Osaka 1 day Pass
Day 9 -> Kyoto Day Tour Buy Kyoto 1 Day Pass
Eat dumplings and sightsee
Go to Imperial Palace
Return to Tokyo by night time
Stay over at Marroad Int.
Day 10->Fly Back to Singapore
Buy wine at Duty-Free shop at HK air

If all's well, the trip will be a memorable one, and hopefully it'll go well. Even if we get lost (Which i'm kinda looking forward to), i hope everyone will become closer and learn from this trip.
I also am looking forward to eating all the nice Japanese goodies and delicious Japanese curry rice/udon. Want to try new things too hehe

Wads there to life?

is life all an illusion or is life real?

are friends and family real??

does the earth stay like this forever.. will resources run out anytime?

when's the earth getting swallowed by the sun and are there beings alive in outer space?

It seems like there are no definite answers to these questions and life in general is all about living to your fullest - which is determined by your culture and societal expectations. in our culture and society, does working your ass off everyday and having a so-called 'proper' job, marriage, family, house, car equate to being alive? Does that make anyone alive i would like to ask?

What about people on the other side of the globe? How do they measure success or failure or just being alive? Why does being alive matter so much.. Most people seem like the living dead anyway - those u see in crowded mrts going to work everyday and those who cant tell the difference between today and tmr in their wild nights. Who is considered alive? Hearts alive and beating might be used to describe people in a coma by some.

What defines life and why do people and animals (plants) alike want to survive? What does it take to survive and live on? Why the survival of the fittest and not survival of the most successful? Fittest in the past might equate to present-day successful. Then does this successful mean wealth, power, fame, glory -- the Benz/Lumburgini, the Landed property, the career success etc.. Why do most people gravitate towards this kind of definition when defining success? Do they say this in public because this is wad's expected of them (and secretly plan to do otherwise) - or do they say it because they seriously mean it and will strive for that to the end?

Why do some people have certain beliefs and practices whereas others simply do not care about it? Does it matter so much to believe and practice those things??

Back to the question of whether life is real, is there reality? Are friends real -- i mean they're alive and all, but does friendship last forever and remain the same? I really duno.. It depends on both parties to work on the friendship continuously.. once one party falls, the entire friendship is delicate and might falter too. same principle as romantic relationships..
what's REAL in life?

One might not be real too - to oneself. How many people honestly acknowledge their fears, their joy, their sorrows and embrace them, and face them? Many more people avoid, or choose to forgo their feelings, because emotions bring them down (sometimes). Can a human be real if he does not attend to his negative emotions but chooses to lavish in his positive emotions? Is life real then -- or a matter of well-chosen paths (as some would say).

What is there to life -- earthquakes, tsunamis, famine, diseases spread like wildfire amongst the crowded and destitute populations of today. All over the world, people seem to be caught in this battle with earth - to die or to survive depends on pure luck and sheer courage. nobody knows why, but earth seems to be lashing out its revenge on us humans who pollute the earth, who trample over it and cause it to run dry, and rid it of its forests which provide it refreshing air etc.. Is this real or an illusion? People Are dying in front of our TV sets, and international aid seems to show concern to the victims. But is this reality ? What is reality??

AHH !!! if someone actually read this long a post of i duno-what.. then please respond!
